Her articles have been published in a range of political journals, and she recently published her first book, <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Whole Dog Parenting<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Jennifer is currently working on her second nonfiction book about gun violence in America and the experience of raising children in Newtown, Connecticut. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jennifer grew up in rural Vermont, but from a young age her work, studies, and curiosity took her all over the world, including to Nepal, Thailand, Ecuador, and Europe. In 2001 Jennifer moved to New York City where she attended NYU\u2019s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and NYU School of Law. As an Institute for International Law and Justice Scholar at NYU she was able to combine her love of travel with meaningful work in human rights and social justice. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">After briefly working for a United Nations tribunal in The Hague, Jennifer returned to NYC to pursue writing, driven by a desire to tell stories that could be heard outside the four walls of a courtroom. \u00a0In New York, Jennifer met Ovidiu, and they soon became partners in life and partners in the business Ovidiu had founded, NYC Doggies. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Jennifer\u2019s work as a writer mirrors the nebulous relationships between her positions as\u00a0mother, business owner, and social justice activist.
